Background:

This parcel (No. 1-870) has been identified as being needed for a drainage easement necessary for the County’s Midway Drainage Improvement Project. The owner (Constance D. Lane / Tax ID No. 33-19-31-507-0000-2110) of the property located at 2430 Jitway Avenue on the west side of Jitway Avenue, approximately 320± feet (0.06 miles) north of State Road 46, in Sanford, Florida, has agreed to sell and convey this drainage easement to Seminole County for the sum of $12,300.00, inclusive of all fees and costs.

 

The parent property is improved with a single-family residence and ancillary improvements and consists of 0.20± acres of land.  The County’s valuation of this acquisition is $7,200.00, a portion of which includes the cost to cure to make the owner whole. The County’s incentivized offer amount was $12,300.00, which was accepted by the owner, inclusive of all fees and costs.

 

 

Requested Action:

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Purchase Agreement related to Project Parcel No. 1-870 for a drainage easement necessary for the Midway Drainage Improvement Project (325.43± SF) between Constance D. Lane and Seminole County for  $12,300.00, as full settlement and any other claim for compensation from which Seminole County might be obligated to pay relating to the parcel.
