Background:
On October 24, 2017, the Board of County Commissioners approved a lease for a 2,000 square-foot retail space at the Shoppes at Brantley Hall at 990 North SR 434, Unit 1124 in Altamonte Springs, FL 32714. The space is occupied by the Seminole County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. The lease commenced on November 1, 201,7 for a term of five (5) years and three (3) months. Landlord abated the rent for three (3) months from November 1, 2017 to January 30, 2018 to allow the County and the Clerk for interior improvements and fixture installation. On July 26, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved the first amendment which extended the lease for a five (5) year term through January 31, 2028. The current annual rent is $43,894.92
The Notice to Terminate Shoppes at Brantley Hall Lease REC I/Brantley Hall Limited Partnership will be effective 90 days from the date of the termination letter. The reason for the termination is explained in the attached email from the General Counsel for the Seminole County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller.
