Background:
Lake Harney Drainage Project (CIPs#02307094/02307092) and Old Mims Rd@ Jungle Rd Drainage Project (CIPs#02307095/02307093) are Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) funded projects provided by FEMA to mitigate drainage problems at these two locations. Both agreements include a cost share with the County to contribute some funding for design. The Department have received bids for design. Both bids are higher than what was originally anticipated when the design agreements were executed with FEMA. Additional design funding will need to be established utilizing 2014 Infrastructure Sales Tax Funds. The Public Works Dept will seek additional reimbursement HMGP Grant funding if available. The attached budget amendment will allocate $66,566 from reserves to provide the additional funding. A cost table is attached.
