Background:
M-2599-19/RTB provides design, permitting, bid phase and construction administration services for the construction of Fire Station #11, located at 2721 S. Ronald Reagan Blvd, Altamonte Springs.
The original Final Completion date of the associated construction project, CC-2772-19/RTB-Construction of Seminole County Fire Station #11 was December 27, 2020. Through Change Orders the Final Completion date was extended to October 23, 2021. The County terminated the agreement for cause effective May 17, 2022. The Surety’s contractor completing the project has taken longer than expected due to the amount of incomplete work and deficient work needing to be corrected.
Amendment #14 is greater than 5% of the current agreement amount of $360,991.62, requiring Board approval. It will provide for additional Construction Administration phase services to ensure that work is completed in accordance with contract documents. Site meetings will be performed weekly as directed by the County Project Manager.
