Background:
CC-4916-23/TAD will provide for the installation of the scour countermeasures to remove the bridges from the scour critical list. Countermeasures include but are not limited to, complete removal of existing riprap, channel excavation as necessary, and installation of new riprap on the abutment slopes and gabion mattresses for the bridges on Tuskawilla Road over Howell Creek.
The project was publicly advertised, and the County received three (3) bids in response to the solicitation. The Review Committee consisting of Matt Hassan, P.E. Asst. County Engineer; Ted Holmes, P.E. Chief Construction Engineer, Stephen Miller, P.E., Construction Project Manager; Jedious Aggrey, Project Manager II, all from the Public Works Department, reviewed the responses. Consideration was given to the bid price, experience, and qualifications. The Backup Documentation includes the Tabulation Sheet.
The Review Committee recommends award to the lowest price, responsive, responsible bidder Shoreline Foundation, Inc. of Pembroke Park, FL in the amount of $1,062,159.00. The completion time for this project is one hundred fifty (150) calendar days to substantial completion and an additional thirty (30) calendar days to final completion after execution of a Notice to Proceed by the County.
The Engineer’s Estimate for the project is $1,328,833.14. This is a budgeted project and funds are available in Minor Roadway Projects (01785572.560650.00001) and Annual Bridge/Tunnel Rep/Repla (01785447.560650.00001)
