Background:
RFP-604479-22/LNF will provide qualified contractors responsible for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Preventive Maintenance (PM), Repairs, Emergency and Replacement Services for various Seminole County locations on an as-needed basis as per Specifications and Requirements. All work shall be performed in accordance with the latest adopted standards and codes for the industry and be in compliance with County and State laws, ordinances, and local authority having jurisdiction.
This project was publicly advertised, and the County received four (4) responsive, responsible bids in response to the solicitation. The Evaluation Committee which consisted of Sandra Aganovic, Contracts, and Leasing Coordinator; Barry Allen, Fleet and Facilities Division Manager and Bradley Stewart, Program Manager II, evaluated the proposals. Consideration was given to project understanding/approach, qualifications, and bid price. The Evaluation Committee recommends the award of the Agreements to top-ranked firms Strut Mechanical Inc., Saint Cloud, (Primary), Climate Control Mechanical Services, Inc., Ocala (Secondary), and General Mechanical Inc., Daytona Beach (Tertiary).
Authorization for performance under this Agreement will be in the form of written Purchase Orders issued and executed by the County. This Agreement will take effect on the date of its execution and will remain for a period of two (2) years. At the sole option of the County, may be renewed for three (3) successive periods not to exceed one (1) year. The total estimated annual amount of these services is $315,000.00. Funds are available in Facilities Management General Fund 010560.530460, Item #4600105617.
