Background:
CC-4854-23/RTB - will provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation coordination, and incidentals necessary for the construction of the proposed drainage maintenance improvements including the following elements within Seminole County: 50-ft wide drainage easement remove approximately 1,425 linear feet of 65-inch x 40-inch corrugated metal pipe arch (CMPA) and replace with double 48-inch reinforced concrete pipe (RCP); remove and replace the existing concrete headwall located at the upstream end of the existing enclosed section of the Border Canal; remove and replace six (6) existing Type “H” ditch bottom inlets; and regrade the drainage swale above the new drainage conveyance system to capture the runoff from the homes along Bougainvillea Drive and Seagrape Drive.
The project was publicly advertised, and the County received nine (9) responses, one of which was determined to be non-responsible. The Review Committee consisting of Dino Lucarelli, P.E., Project Manager; Ted Holmes, P.E., Project Manager, and Matt Hassan, P.E., Deputy County Engineer all from the Public Works Department, reviewed the responses giving consideration to the bid price, experience, and qualifications.
The Review Committee recommends award to the lowest priced, responsive, responsible bidder, Gregori Construction, Inc., of Titusville, in the amount of $2,049,503.00. The Completion time for this project is two hundred twenty-seven (227) calendar days to Substantial Completion and an additional thirty (30) calendar days to Final Completion for a total Agreement time of two hundred fifty-seven (257) calendar days from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the County.
The Engineer’s Estimate for the project is $1,888,427.00 and funds are available in Crane Strand Canal Culvert Rep (Acct 01785488.560650.00001)
