Background:
The property owner at 100 Horse Lovers Lane, Altamonte Springs completed an application for the Elevate Florida Program with the Florida Division of Emergency Management. The application was approved for acquisition-demolition due to significant flood loss. A Notice of Intent and future documents will need to be executed outlining the roles and responsibilities of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, Seminole County, the property owner, and future deed restrictions of the parcel once the project is complete.
Requested Action:
Staff requests that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Notice of Intent for the property located at 100 Horse Lovers Lane in Altamonte Springs to participate in the Elevate Florida Program for an acquisition-demolition mitigation project; and approve and authorize the County Manager to execute future documents related to this project.
