Background:
IFB-604996-25/LAS will provide experienced, licensed contractors to perform mobile hydraulic hose and cylinder repairs for Seminole County Fleet Services. These services include but are not limited to providing fittings in stock for various types of equipment, providing hydraulic and pneumatic hoses for in-field repairs, providing various types of hose protectors, and providing 24-hour service for repairs throughout Seminole County at various sites and locations.
This project was publicly advertised, and the County received four (4) submittals in response to the solicitation. The review committee consisted of Raymond Kelly, Program Manager II, and Daniel Alendal, Operations Manager, both from Fleet Services Division. Consideration was given to bid price and the need for multiple contractors.
The review committee recommends award of this project to Kraken Hydraulics LLC, Eustis, FL, Southern Hydraulics LLC, Kissimmee, FL, Tek Fluid Power LLC, Altamonte Springs, FL, & Truck and Equipment Source LLC, New Smyrna Beach, FL.
Authorization for services by the vendors will be in form of written Purchase Order issued and executed by the County. This agreement takes effect on the date of execution and will continue for a period of three (3) years. At the sole option of the County, the agreement may be renewed for two (2) successive periods not to exceed one (1) year each. The estimated annual usage of these services is $60,000. Funds are available in the Fleet Services business unit (010540).
