Background:

In June 2025 the County Manager authorized and executed the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) grant agreement for the purpose of erosion control improvements along the riverbank at 507 San Sebastian Prado, Altamonte Springs, Florida. FEMA has awarded the County the HMPG contract in the amount of $8,203.20 for Phase I only, which includes, but is not limited to surveying, engineering, design plans preparation, permitting and bidding for the proposed project, for Phase II approval. The grant match requirement will be paid by the resident. No County funds will be used for this project.

If approved for Phase II continuation, Emergency Management will bring Phase II approval to the Board at a future date.

Requested Action:

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Resolution implementing the Budget Amendment Request (BAR) #26-043 in the Federal Mitigation Grants Fund to appropriate funding in the amount of $8,203 for Phase 1 of erosion control improvements.
