Background:
RFP-605040-25/LAS will provide all labor, materials, equipment coordination, transportation, and incidentals necessary to provide various types and sizes of beverage and food vending products for vending machine services throughout Seminole County.
The project was publicly advertised, and the County received two (2) responses listed alphabetically below:
• Compass Group USA, Inc. dba Canteen
• Uber Vending Services, Inc
The Evaluation Committee consisting of Edward Rickey, Program Manager I; Anthony Maddox, Facilities Division Manager; and Doug Johnson Program Manager II, evaluated the responses, giving consideration to qualifications, experience, methodology, reporting, and commission schedule.
The Evaluation Committee recommends awarding this project to Compass Group USA, Inc. dba Canteen, the top-ranked firm.
Authorization for performance under this agreement will be in the form of written Purchase Orders, issued by the County. The agreement will take effect on the date of its execution and will remain in effect for three (3) years. At the sole option of the County, the agreement may be renewed for two (2) successive periods, not to exceed one (1) year each. The Contractor shall pay Seminole County a twenty percent (20%) commission on all gross proceeds generated from the beverage and food machines provided under this agreement.
The attached backup documentation includes the following: the Tabulation Sheet, Evaluation Ranking and Scoring Summary, and the Award Agreement, including the scope of services, which has been provided as part of this agenda item.
Requested Action:
Staff requests that the Board award RFP-605040-25/LAS Vending Machine Services to Compass Group USA, Inc. dba Canteen and authorize the Purchasing and Contracts Division to execute the agreement.
