Background:

Housing Stability Grants
Establish budget for Housing & Urban Development (HUD) in the amount of $60,237 with a 25% match and Dept of Children and Families (DCF) in the amount of $32,994 with a 100% match. These grant agreements were awarded and executed after the County’s budget was adopted. Additionally, the budget for the HUD ESG Rush Grant is being increased by $5,541 to match the current approved agreement.

Duke Energy Grant
The Emergency Management Dept has been awarded $10,000 by the Duke Energy Foundation for emergency shelter resource enhancements with no County Match.

Neighborhood Stabilization Grant (Program Revenues)
This program has earned additional income in the amount of $74,658 from the sale of houses, which had previously utilized down-payment assistance grants. This reimbursement must be approved by the Board to be utilized by the program.

Mosquito Control Grant
The State of Florida Dept of Agriculture has notified the County that the FY26 Mosquito Control Grant will be increased by $7,731.50.
