Background:
The current Interlocal Agreement for Medical Examiner’s Services expires on September 30, 2024. Seminole County desires to continue the current agreement with District 5 for the joint operation of the Medical Examiner’s Office in accordance with Chapter 406, Florida Statutes (2024). Dr. Barbara Wolf, the President of Medicus Forensics, P.A., will continue to serve as the Medical Examiner and will jointly engage Medicus Forensics to perform medical examiner services for the District 5 counties and District 24 for a term of five years. Seminole County finds that it is to the public’s benefit and best interest to continue this Agreement with District 5 at this time.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Interlocal Agreement for Cost Share of Medical Examiner Services and Other Related Matters.
