Background:
RFP-604939-25/LAS provides removal and replacement of artificial turf for nine (9) fields located at Boombah Sports Complex in Sanford, FL.
Amendment #1 will add the conversion of natural grass fields to synthetic turf at the Boombah Sports Complex to an additional six (6) baseball fields of approximately 92,790 sq ft each. This includes all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the installation.
Tourism Parks 1, 2, 3 Cent Fund are currently budgeted at $6.2 million, and Tourism Sports 4 & 6 Cent Fund reserves are currently budget at $1.3 million.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve Amendment #1 to RFP-604939-25/LAS- Term Contract for Boombah Sports Complex Artificial Turf Field Replacement to Astro Turf Corporation, Dalton, GA. And authorize the Purchasing and Contracts Division to execute the amendment and approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Resolution implementing the Budget Amendment Request (BAR)#26-015 in the Tourism Parks 1, 2, 3 Cent Fund and the Tourism Sports 4&6 Cent Fund to transfer $7,585,253.00 from reserves.
