Background:
February 12, 2025 - Joint District 5/24 Medical Examiner Advisory Committee requested a plan submission to consider support of reassignment of Lake County to Medical Examiner District 24.
February 14, 2025 - Marion County sent a letter requesting reimbursement of expenses for a new Medical Examiner Facility.
April 22, 2025 - Lake County BCC voted unanimously to move forward with the District 24 reassignment request and submit a plan to the Medical Examiner Advisory Committee.
May 13, 2025 - Seminole County BCC voted unanimously to execute a letter to the Medical 2025-450 Examiner Advisory Committee Chairman regarding the proposed plan for a mutual reassignment of Lake County from the Medical Examiner District 5 to District 24
