Background:
Seminole County entered into Lease Number 3521 for the Spring Hammock Preserve with the Florida Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund on December 5, 1989. The State of Florida, as Lessor, holds title to the subject lands pursuant to Section 253.03, Florida Statutes. Amendment Number 2 to Lease 3521 has been prepared to modify the existing lease by adding additional real property to the leased premises as described in the updated Exhibit “A.” All other terms and conditions of the original lease remain unchanged and in full force and effect. The amendment also provides authorization for execution using electronic signatures. Approval of Amendment Number 2 will formalize the inclusion of the additional acreage and affirm the continuation of the lease under its current provisions.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Amendment Number 2 to Lease Number 3521 for the Spring Hammock Preserve between Seminole County and the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund of the State of Florida.
