Background:
Section 20.45 (Water and Wastewater Capacity and User Charges) of the Seminole County Administrative Code was most recently amended and adopted by the Board on December 12, 2023.
During the Budget Worksessions held on June 20, 2023, and June 19, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners was presented with the recommendation of a 4.6% annual rate increase for water and wastewater charges, consistent with the previous consultant’s recommendation of 4.6%, effective October 1, 2023, and October 1, 2024, respectively.
Requested Action:
Staff requests that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Resolution amending Section 20.45 of the Seminole County Administrative Code to increase Water and Sewer service charges by 4.6% and provide an effective date of October 1, 2024
