Background:
CC-5836-24/MAG will provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, coordination, and incidentals necessary to provide construction services for West Lake Brantley Road to Alder Ave consists of the replacement of (8) existing round and elliptical pipes with box culverts to reduce upstream stages and associated flooding/roadway overtopping.
The project was publicly advertised, and the County received (3) bids in response to the solicitation. The Review Committee consisting of Jeff Sloman, Professional Engineer; Stephen Miller, Professional Engineer; Dino Lucarelli, Chief Design Engineer; and Jean Jreij, Public Works Director reviewed the responses. Consideration was given to bid price, experience, and qualifications.
The Review Committee recommends award to the lowest priced, responsive, responsible bidder, Carr & Collier, Inc, in the amount of $3,887,700. The completion time for this project is two hundred forty (240) calendar days to substantial completion and an additional thirty (30) calendar days to final completion for a total Contract time of two hundred seventy (270) calendar days, from the issuance of a Notice To Proceed by the County.
The Engineer’s Estimate for this Project was $4,801,361.85.
This is a budgeted project and funds are available in Willow Ave/Alhambra Ave Drainage (Acct # 02007124.560650.00001) and (Acct # 02407079.560650.00001). This project is County Funded, but a portion will be reimbursed with State Resilient Florida Grant Funds.
