Background:
IFB-604804-24/MHH provides a certified electrical contractor in the State of Florida who shall provide electrical and related work for Seminole County in a reliable and timely manner. The Contractor shall have the capability to service multiple locations throughout Seminole County at any given time. The majority of work under this contract will be electrical replacement work for residential properties.
This project was publicly advertised, and the County received seven (7) bids in response to the solicitation. The Review Committee, which consisted of Paul Pendang, Project Manager I, Community Development, Marshall Hervey, Project Manager I, Community Development, and Storm Tackett, Project Manager I, Community Development, reviewed the bids. Consideration was given to the contractor’s ability, capacity and skill, character, integrity, reputation, judgment and efficiency, quality of performance on previous contracts or services to Seminole County, reference checks, and bid price. The Review Committee requests award of the agreements to the lowest priced responsive, responsible bidders, Base 3, LLC d/b/a Gibson Electric, Ocala, Yang Inc d/b/a Semco Electric Company, Orlando, The Price is Right Electrical Services LLC, Apopka, and T North Enterprise LLC d/b/a Aurora Electric, Sorrento.
Authorization for performance under these agreements will be in the form of Purchase Orders issued and executed by the County. Each project will be quoted between the four (4) awardees. The agreements will take effect on the date of its execution and will remain in effect for a period of three (3) years. At the sole option of the County, the agreements may be renewed for two (2) successive periods not to exceed one (1) year each. The estimated annual amount for this project is $75,000.00. Funds are available in multiple SHIP and CDBG accounts.
Requested Action:
Staff requests that the Board award IFB-604804-24/MHH - Residential Electrical Services to Base 3, LLC d/b/a Gibson Electric, Ocala, Yang Inc d/b/a Semco Electric Company, Orlando, The Price is Right Electrical Services LLC, Apopka, and T North Enterprise LLC d/b/a Aurora Electric, Sorrento, for the estimated annual amount of $75,000.00, which is shared between the aforementioned awardees, and authorize the Purchasing and Contracts Division to execute the agreements.
