Background:
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) pass-through to the Florida Department of Emergency Management has awarded the reimbursement contract for the County's allowable expenditures for Hurricane Milton. The general contract allows the County to submit Project Worksheets to the State for reimbursement from FEMA. The County Manager will have authorization to sign all related modifications and forms for reimbursement upon execution of this original contract for this project. Estimated reimbursement is $5,150,000 for Hurricane Milton.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the County Manager to execute a grant agreement with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) passed through from Florida Division of Emergency Management for allowable reimbursement for Hurricane Milton; and authorize the County Manager to sign all related modifications and forms to this contract.
