Background:
On December 2, 2020, Seminole County contracted with MSL, P.A. to provide auditing services for three (3) years, renewable for two successive periods not to exceed one year. On November 1, 2024, Forvis Mazars, LLP accounting and consulting firm, announced expanding presence in Florida with the addition of MSL, P.A The acquisition of MSL, P.A.’s assets and team members transferred the ability to provide the required auditing services to Forvis Mazars, LLP.
The proposed amendment provides the written consent in accordance with the original contract to assign the remainder of the services to Forvis Mazars, LLP. Auditing services for the contract are complete with the current audit for fiscal year-ended 9/30/24. A new solicitation for auditing services will occur upon audit completion expected April 2025.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Assignment and First Amendment of the term contract for auditing services.
