Background:
The Board of County Commissioners approved an application to the Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance FY 2024 Adult Treatment Court Site-Based Grant on April 23, 2024. The County was subsequently awarded $999,926 for a four-year grant period.
To meet the objectives of the award, Seminole County must partner with a community-based treatment provider to deliver residential services for the Adult Drug Court Diversion Program. A total of $281,700 of federal funds is budgeted for those services.
Aspire Health Partners is a leading behavioral health provider that offers a full continuum of care, including substance use treatment, mental health counseling, and recovery support services. For the Adult Drug Court program, Aspire will provide residential treatment services to participants as the primary intervention.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the County Manager to sign the agreement between Seminole County and Aspire Health Partners to provide services for the Adult Drug Court, with total funding of up to $281,700 over four years, funded through the Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs Bureau of Justice Assistance FY24 Adult Treatment Court Program Grant.
