Background:

MetroPlan Orlando was awarded a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Supplemental Planning Grant for $2.65M by FHWA.  This grant will expand on the Vision Zero Action Plan that was completed last year by MetroPlan Orlando for Seminole County.  This funding agreement between MetroPlan and the County outlines the County’s $200k cost-share.  This cost-share will leverage $1M in County specific efforts to undertake Road Safety Audits (RSAs) and develop conceptual designs for future safety projects.  Also included with this Agreement agenda item is a BAR to designate funds for this match.

BAR#25-052 is attached to this agenda and will allocate $200,000 from 2014 Infrastructure Sales Tax Fund reserves. Current reserves are budgeted at $5.6M.
