Background:
The Elite Clubs National League Boys’ and Girls’ Regional soccer tournaments are scheduled to take place on January 2-4, 2026 and January 9-11, 2026, respectively, and the MLS Next Academy Division Regional event is taking place on January 23-26, 2026. These three events will take place at the Sylvan Lake Park, the Seminole Soccer Complex, and the Boombah Sports Complex.
The ECNL events continue to be one of the largest annual sporting events in terms of both economic impact and room night generation hosted in Seminole County. Each of these events are expected to draw approximately 170 soccer teams. Both ECNL events combined are expected to generate approximately 10,000 visitors, 5,000 hotel rooms, and an estimated economic impact of over $5 million dollars for Seminole County.
Every year, golf carts are utilized to shuttle college coaches, volunteers, and spectators between Sylvan Lake Park and the Seminole Soccer Complex for these events. This authorization is limited to golf carts utilized in conjunction with the ECNL tournaments. A map of the specific area is included in Exhibit A.
