Background:
The Lake of the Woods Sidewalk Project will construct approximately 1,200 linear feet of sidewalks along the northbound side of Lake of the Woods Blvd. The original scope of the project has been modified to include a raised traffic separator median for pedestrians which also requires some milling and resurfacing. Rapid rectangular flashing beacons will also be added for pedestrian safety. With this additional scope, the original engineering cost estimate increased from $117K to $306K. Additional funding will be transferred from 2014 Infrastructure Sales Tax Fund reserves. Current reserves are budgeted at $8.7M.

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Resolution implementing Budget Amendment Request (BAR) #24-045 in the 2014 Infrastructure Sales Tax Fund to transfer $189,511 from reserves for additional construction funding for the Lake of the Woods Sidewalk Project.
