Background:
CC-5836-24/MAG provides construction services for West Lake Brantley Road to Alder Ave consisting of the replacement of (8) existing round and elliptical pipes with box culverts to reduce upstream stages and associated flooding/roadway overtopping.
Change Order #3 will provide for ditch regrading and extra culvert installation between Virginia Dr. and Willow Ave. Contract time will also be extended by 65 days. The change order exceeds 5% of the original contract, requiring Board approval. Following is a Cost Summary of this Agreement:
Original Contract Sum: $3,887,700.00
Change Order #1: TIME ONLY
Change Order #2: $ 104,213.05
Change Order #3: $ 767,929.27
Revised Agreement Total: $4,759,842.32
This is a budgeted project and funds are available in Willow Ave-Alhambra Drain HMGP - (Acct# 02007124.560650.00001) $383,964.63 and Willow Lake Drain Resilient FL (Acct# 02407079.560650.00001) - $383,964.64
Phase II (construction) for this project is funded by a Florida Resilience Grant through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP). Funding is at 50% FDEP and 50% County through the 3rd Gen Sales Tax.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve Change Order #3 to CC-5836-24/MAG - Willow Ave and Alhambra Ave Drainage Improvements in the amount of $767,929.27 with Carr & Collier, Inc. and authorize the Purchasing & Contracts Division to execute this Change Order.
