Background:

In an effort to expedite repair to damaged structures within Seminole County caused by Hurricane Milton, Executive Order No. 2024-011 was executed on October 14, 2024, temporarily waiving building permit fees for a period of seven (7) days commencing from the date of its execution. In order to continue to expedite repairs and provide relief to Seminole County residents and business owners affected by Hurricane Milton beyond the term of Executive Order No. 2024-011, the County desires to ratify and expand the scope and timeframe for the fee waiver beyond that established by the Executive Order.

Requested Action:

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Resolution temporarily waiving building permit fees and plan review permit fees.
