Background:

This parcel (No. 1-862) has been identified as being needed for a drainage easement necessary for the Midway Drainage Improvement Project. The owner (Nicole Newman / Tax ID No. 33-19-31-507-0000-1210) of the property located at the southeast corner of Dolarway and Midway Avenue has agreed to sell and convey this drainage easement to Seminole County for the sum of $16,230.00 inclusive of all fees and costs.

 

The parent property located at the southeast corner of Dolarway and Midway Avenue is vacant and consists of 0.09± acres of land. The County’s valuation of this acquisition is $9,900.00, a portion of which includes the cost to cure to make the owner whole. The County’s incentivized offer amount was $16,230.00, inclusive of all fees and costs, which was accepted by the owner.

 

Requested Action:

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Purchase Agreement related to Project Parcel No. 1-862 for a drainage easement necessary for the Midway Drainage Improvement Project (636.71± SF) between Nicole Newman and Seminole County for  $16,230.00, as full settlement and any other claim for compensation from which Seminole County might be obligated to pay relating to the parcel.
