Background:
CC-6816-26/TAD will provide sewer main upgrades to existing gravity sewer systems on Talbot Road, Kewannee Trail, and Hollyridge Road to the Kewanee lift station service area. The scope of the project includes the furnishing and installation of sewer mains and sewer laterals to the Right-Of-Way (ROW), to include replacement via trenched and trenchless means, individual services and restorative efforts.
The project was publicly advertised and the County received seven (7) bids in response to the solicitation. The Review Committee consisting of Tammy Ryan Pelkey, Project Manager II; Dennis Westrick, Senior Engineer; William White, Chief Engineer; and David Ornberg, Utilities Engineering Division Manager; all from Utilities Engineering & Construction Division reviewed the responses giving consideration to bid price, qualifications, and experience.
The Review Committee recommends award to the lowest priced, responsive, responsible bidder, AMCON Development Group, LLC in the amount of $2,564,601.87. The Completion Time for this project is three hundred thirty-five (335) calendar days to Substantial Completion and an additional thirty (30) calendar days to Final Completion after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed by the County. The Engineer’s Estimate for the project is $3,239,900.00.
