Background:

The Florida Division of Emergency Management is responsible for the implementation of the Elevate Florida Grant Program (the “Program”) which is funded by the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grant. The Program is designed to provide assistance to local governments to fund flood mitigation activities for eligible private residential property owners. In order for Seminole County to be eligible for funding assistance under the Program, Seminole County must execute the attached Memorandum of Understanding which memorializes the terms and conditions for the administration of the Program.

Requested Action:

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Memorandum of Understanding between the Florida Division of Emergency Management and Seminole County pursuant to the Elevate Florida Program.
