Background:
This parcel (#810) had been identified for acquisition as part of the Dean Road Improvement Project. The owner (Hometown Homeowner’s Association, Inc. / Tax ID#31-21-31-507-0H00-0000) of the property located on the westerly side of Dean Road approximately 430 ± feet (0.08 miles) southeasterly of State Road 426, in Oviedo, Florida, had agreed to sell and convey a drainage easement to Seminole County for the sum of $30,000.00, inclusive of all fees and costs. The original agreement included, as a non-monetary benefit, the installation of a 6-foot CPTED (Crime Prevention through Environmental Design) fence with access gates along the frontage of Tract H that would have been installed as part of construction of the Dean Road Improvement Project. The value of the fence installation was estimated to be $19,085.00.
Since this project was not implemented, the Hometown Homeowner’s Association, Inc. has requested this value be paid to them based on the value identified in Section III(r) of the original agreement dated December 12, 2017. This agreement amends Section III(r) to provide compensation instead of the installation of the fence.
