Background:
In 1999, Seminole County entered into an Agreement with the School Board to maintain traffic signals located at or near schools. This Agreement was amended in 2007. In July 2015, the Florida Department of Transportation amended its Compensation Agreement with the County to cover reimbursement for traffic signals and other various devices and equipment. Since 2007, we have not increased the maintenance costs to the School Board. In this new Signal Maintenance Agreement, we have incorporated the Statewide FDOT reimbursement rates to more accurately reflect current costs.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement with the School Board of Seminole County.
