Background:

On February 25, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) approved a lease for parcel numbers 11-20-30-5AM-0J02-0000 and 11-20-30-5AM-0J03-0000 (212 Eslinger Way, Sanford, Florida 32773) to Adventist Health System/Sunbelt, Inc., d/b/a AdventHealth Hope and Healing Center. On September 28, 2021, the BCC approved Amendment One, which changed the configuration of the Leased Premises and Exclusive Use area as utilized by Adventist Health System/Sunbelt, Inc., d/b/a AdventHealth Hope and Healing Center. On November 14, 2023, the Board approved the First Renewal to Lease Agreement, which renewed the lease for one (1) year through December 31, 2024. On August 27, 2024, the Board approved the Final Renewal to Lease Agreement, which renewed the lease for one (1) final year through December 31, 2025.

The proposed Second Amendment extends the lease agreement for three (3) years through December 31, 2028, with two (2) renewal options of one (1) year each.  

Requested Action:

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Second Amendment to Lease Agreement with Addiction Recovery and Treatment Center.
