Background:
At the September 13, 2022 Board of County Commissioners regular meeting, the Board approved an MOU with JES Consulting Property, LLC (Sylvan Estates developer) to redesign their sewer system to provide for the surrounding area (Lake Sylvan Oaks subdivision) to flow by gravity to the Buckingham Lift station.
To bring the project to conclusion, the attached resolution, agreement, county deed, and utility easement are intended to implement an exchange of the former lift station property owned by the County with the Lake Sylvan Oaks Homeowners Association, Inc. for a utility easement from the Association over the gravity sewer system in compliance with Section 125.37, Florida Statutes (2023). This exchange of property and execution of construction agreement allows the County to eliminate the existing lift station in Lake Sylvan Oaks with installation of a gravity sewer connection to the adjacent subdivision (Sylvan Estates). Eliminating this lift station reduces maintenance expenses, as well as the potential for continued odor complaints.
