Background:
CC-7045-26/HSM Construction Services Agreement for Lockwood Boulevard Force Main and Reclaimed Water Main Construction provide new sewer force main and reclaimed water main in the Carillon service area. The project involves the furnishing and installation of a new force and reclaimed water main, which will be installed through open cut along the easement between Hagerty High School and the rear of the homes on West Bourne Drive. Additionally, the new force main will be extended along Lockwood Boulevard between West Bourne Drive south to the Carillon Master Lift Station via directional drill.
The project was publicly advertised, and the County received fifteen (15) bids in response to the solicitation. The review committee consists of Tammy Ryan, Project Manager II, William White, Chief Engineer, Dennis Westrick, Senior Engineer and Mary Ellen Fernandez, CIP Manager. Consideration was given to bid price, experience, and qualifications.
The Review Committee recommends award to the lowest priced, responsive, responsible bidder, Cacique Utilities of Lake Worth, FL in the amount of $1,413,267.00. The completion time for this project is one hundred and fifty (150) calendar days Substantial Completion and an additional thirty (30) calendar day to Final Completion after execution of a Notice to Proceed by the County. The budget for this item is located under account business unit #02308027.

Staff requests the Board award CC-7045-26/HSM Construction Services Agreement for Lockwood Boulevard Force Main and Reclaimed Water Main Construction to Cacique Utilities, LLC in the amount of $1,413,267.00 and authorize the Purchasing and Contracts Division to execute the agreement.
