Background:
The Board of County Commissioners desires to retain the services of competent and qualified professionals to provide educational entertainment programs for Seminole County residents. The Library Services Division is contracting with Bright Star Children’s Theatre to provide a summer performances for the 2026 Summer Reading Program.
Bright Star Children’s Theatre will present twelve (12) performances of its show, “Dino Academy: A Dinosaur Discovery Show,” scheduled for June 23-June 27, 2026, at the Seminole County Branch Libraries.
The total cost for these performances is $5,425.00, which will be fully funded by a donation from the Friends of the Library.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute the Entertainment Service Agreement, to provide children’s programs at the branch libraries as part of the Summer Reading Program with the following contractor: Bright Star Children’s Theatre, LLC, $5,425.00.
