Background:

The HUD Continuum of Care Grant Program formerly known as the Shelter Plus Care Program provides rental assistance and supportive services for chronically homeless households, primarily those who are seriously mentally ill or have a physical or developmental disability and have been literally homeless for more than 12 months.

In June 2026, the Community Services Department received approval from HUD for a renewal grant award in the amount of $925,389 to continue to provide rental assistance and supportive services for the above-mentioned population.

Additionally, HUD is requiring the grant signature to match the authorized official in the e-snaps system. For Seminole, the authorized official in e-snaps is the Community Services Department Director.
