Background:
RFP-604862-24/LNF will provide for a Firm that will be responsible for providing lobbying services at the state level. The Firm is responsible for identifying, monitoring, prioritizing, and advocating for County legislative issues under consideration by the State Legislature, Governor’s Office, relevant state agencies, and rule-making bodies.
This project was publicly advertised and the County received four (4) proposals in response to the solicitation. The Evaluation Committee, consisting of Tricia Johnson, Deputy County Manager; Gerlin Kahn, Assistant County Attorney, and Meloney Koontz, Assistant County Manager, evaluated the proposals, taking into consideration the firm’s qualifications and experience and fee structure for the next five (5) years. The Evaluation Committee recommends award of the contract to the top ranked firm, The Southern Group of Florida, Inc., Tallahassee.
Authorization for performance of professional services by Consultant under this Agreement will be in the form of written Purchase Orders issued and executed by the County on an as needed basis. This Agreement shall take effect on the date of its execution by the County and continue for a period of three (3) years. At the sole option of the County, may be renewed for two (2) successive periods not to exceed one (1) year each. The estimated annual usage of this contract is $120,000.00.
