Background:
As required by Florida Statutes Section 163.3177(6)(c)(4), Seminole County must update its Comprehensive Plan every five years to reflect its 10-Year Water Supply Facilities Work Plan (WSFWP), describing how its traditional and alternative water supply projects support the Regional Water Supply Plan (RWSP) adopted by the Central Florida Water Initiative (CFWI).
The presentation will provide a brief summary of the proposed WSFWP which is based on water projects included in the Utilities Master Plan approved by the Board of County Commissioners in March 2026. Presenters will also discuss the Consumptive Use Permit (CUP) from the St. Johns Water Management District, cost effectiveness of different types of water projects, and the Comprehensive Plan updates that must be made prior to May 12, 2027
