Background:
IFB-604672-23/LAS will provide an experienced, licensed, and certified contractor to conduct grounds maintenance at Rolling Hills Park. This grounds maintenance will include-but is not limited to, mowing, landscaped bed maintenance, landscaped turf maintenance, tree and palm maintenance, edging, pruning, pest control, weeding, application of insecticides, herbicides and fungicides, fertilization, litter/trash removal, and irrigation maintenance.
This project was publicly advertised, and the County received four (4) submittals in response to the solicitation. Two (2) Bids Were deemed non-responsive, and after evaluation/further discussion, One (1) bid was withdrawn from consideration by the contractor. The review committee consisted of William Pandos, Division Manager, Jeromy Mynes, Program Manager II, Robert Miller, Landscape Contract Coordinator, and William Washington, Landscape Contract Coordinator, all from Parks and Recreation - Greenways & Natural Lands Division. Consideration was given to past performance, qualifications, and overall bid price.
The review committee recommends the award of this project to the lowest priced, responsive, responsible bidder, AmeriScapes Landscape Management Services LLC, Orlando, FL.
Authorization for services by the vendor will be in the form of written Release Orders issued and executed by the County. This agreement takes effect on the date of execution and will continue for a period of three (3) years. At the sole option of the County, the agreement may be renewed for two (2) successive periods not to exceed one (1) year each. The estimated annual usage of these services is $256,740.00. Funds are available in account # 043824.430460.
