Background:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five has notified Seminole County that its SFY 2026/2027 Public Transit Service Development Grant funding request for SCOUT microtransit expansion has been approved. FDOT requires each municipality to provide a Board-adopted resolution authorizing acceptance of the grant award and designating who is empowered to execute the grant agreement, amendments, subsequent related documents, and reimbursement invoices.
This resolution satisfies FDOT’s requirements and grants the County Manager (or designee) authority to:
• Accept the SFY 2026/2027 Public Transit Service Development Grant award;
• Execute the grant contract and all subsequent amendments and agreements;
• Submit invoices for reimbursement from the State;
• Sign any supporting documentation associated with the award.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Resolution authorizing acceptance of Public Transit Service Development Grant funding and authorizing the County Manager to execute the grant agreement, amendments, subsequent related documents, and reimbursement invoices.
