Background:

At its September 23, 2025, meeting, the Board of County Commissioners provided feedback related to Code Enforcement updates and code changes, including changes to Sections 3.20 and 3.21 of the Seminole County Administrative Code.

The procedures addressed in these sections are now addressed by the Seminole County Code. Therefore, during the September 23, 2025, Code Enforcement work session, the Board supported the deletion of these two sections. The Resolution is effective upon Board approval.

Requested Action:

Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute a Resolution amending the Seminole County Administrative Code by deleting Section 3.20 (Code Enforcement Lien Requests for Waivers/Reductions and Procedure to Satisfy Liens Paid in Full) and Section 3.21 (Code Enforcement - Special Magistrate Rules of Procedure); and providing an effective date.
