Background:
The Supervisor of Elections is requesting reappropriation of $68,318.84 of Interest Earned and Other Miscellaneous Revenue earned in FY25 for additional costs incurred in FY25.
These revenues represent the fees we statutorily charge for the signature verification on petitions for both candidates/petition initiatives. These revenues are used to offset a portion/not all, of the expenses our office incurs to provide these mandatory services.
The SOE FY25 Adopted Budget was approved for $4,628,683. The reappropriation of these revenues will offset additional expenditures totaling $4,670,496.39.
