Background:
Following the Board of County Commissioners’ approval of a contract with Freebee on May 20, 2025, staff launched the SCOUT brand on June 26 to meet operational deadlines tied to the upcoming launch of Seminole County’s new micro-transit service in October. Branding and logo development were required to support vendor production timelines for vehicle wraps, app integration, and public-facing materials. Staying on schedule helps minimize overlap costs with LYNX and keeps the overall implementation on track.
SCOUT was developed by the Office of Communications in collaboration with internal stakeholders, Freebee, and public sector design experts. The brand includes a name, tagline, logo, vehicle wrap design, and promotional tools. It was designed to stand apart from County government branding while clearly identifying the service as County-sponsored.
The SCOUT brand reflects the service’s purpose: helping residents get “Out and About in Seminole County” through flexible, app based, and affordable transportation. The logo is attached.
