Background:
The Office of Emergency Management is requesting updates to five sections of Administrative Code and two new sections related to Emergency Management: Section 20.25 (Emergency Management Fees) add healthcare plan review costs; Section 20.38 (Public Safety Fees) removes the sections related to emergency management and also updates the Fire Department fee structure; Section 32.5.5 (Animal Control Certification Course) this is an administrative change related to name and the adding of a course requirement per new State legislation; Section 32.5.10 (Animal Services Trust Fund) administrative only changing the name to Office of Emergency Management; Section 32.10.5 (Emergency Management Authority) adds clarification language for the operation of the emergency operations center; New Section 32.10.10 (Emergency Management Comprehensive Emergency Management Planning, Training, Exercise Requirements Healthcare Industry) adds information and guidance on the requirement of training and review of emergency management healthcare plans. Creating a new Section 32.15 (Emergency Telecommunications) adds guidance to emergency telecommunications and meets the suggestions of the Stoneman Douglas Review.
