Background:

The Seminole Cultural Arts Council, Inc. (“SCAC”), was formed in 1994 as a Florida not-for-profit organization to provide community-based arts programs in Seminole County and to serve, support, and nurture the cultural and artistic needs of Seminole County residents.

SCAC is an advocate for the preservation of local cultural and historic heritage, including performing, literary, and visual arts and sciences, and serves to sustain, develop, and advance the cultural life of Seminole County.

Based on Bureau of Economic and Business Research population estimates, the 2025/2026 fiscal year funding amount allocated to the Seminole Cultural Arts Council, Inc., is $98,881.60.

Requested Action:

Staff requests that the Board approve and authorize the Chairman to execute an Arts Funding Agreement between Seminole County and Seminole Cultural Arts Council, Inc., in the amount of $98,881.60 for the 2025/2026 fiscal year.
