Background:
RFP-604960-25/MHH will provide a licensed, experienced contractor to conduct the processing of clean wood waste and vegetative waste received by Seminole County Solid Waste Division. Clean wood waste includes treated and untreated wood waste such as lumber and pallets. Vegetative waste includes material from commercial and residential lawn maintenance and land clearing activities. This includes, but is not limited to, bagged and loose yard waste, tree debris, logs, stumps, etc. Contractor will provide services to Seminole County Solid Waste and will furnish a plan that will include staffing, work procedures and equipment to be utilized in the performance of services under this agreement.
This project was publicly advertised, and the County received seven (7) submittals in response to the Solicitation. The Evaluation Committee consisted of Oliver Bond, Division Manager, Ronnie Hope, Operations Manager, and Steve Evan, Team Leader, all from the Solid Waste Division. Consideration was given to Professional Qualifications, Task approach/operational plan, Past Performance/Experience, and Cost. The evaluation committee recommends award to the top ranked contractor, 4 Jays Land Services Inc. Services to be rendered by the contractor will commence on the date of execution of the agreement and continue for a period of three (3) years. At the sole option of the County, this agreement may be renewed for two (2) successive years not to exceed one (1) year each. The estimated annual usage is $600,000.
