Background:
The Slavia Rd Capacity Improvements (CIP#01785146) from Red Bug Lake Road to State Road 426 will include capacity improvements while enhancing bicycle and pedestrian facilities and improving drainage. Environmental impacts from this project require federal and state mitigation to offset jurisdictional wetland and/or surface water impacts for permit issuance.
The attached BAR will allocate an additional $587,400 in funds to purchase mitigation bank credits to meet St Johns River Water Management District requirements for wetland mitigation. In addition, the BAR will request an additional $75,700 in funds needed for a supplemental agreement to make modifications to the 90% design plans in order to reduce the amount to be spent on ROW acquisition for a total of $663,100 in additional funds.
Funds are available within the Celery/Mellonville Trail Loop Project (CIP#01785350). This project has received supplemental grant funding, so the sales tax portion of the funding for this project is available to be used on other sales tax projects. No impact to 3rd Generation Sales Tax reserves.
