Background:
The Board approved the HMGP grant applications for the purpose of flood protection of the property at 804 Agnes Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 and 812 Underoak Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 through the elevation of the home structures at these sites. FEMA has awarded the County HMGP contracts for the Federal amounts to complete the elevations of the properties and associated management costs. The grant match requirements will be paid by the resident. No County Funds will be used for this project.
BAR 26-045 in the amount of $311,704.53 will appropriate the budget for these projects.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board approve and authorize the County Manager to execute HMGP contracts, work orders, purchasing contracts, and related grant modification documents for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) Hurricane Ian grant to elevate (2) properties at 804 Agnes Drive and 812 Underoak Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701 for flood protection; and authorize the Chairman to execute a Budget Amendment Request (BAR) 26-045 through the FEMA Federal Mitigation Grant Funds in the amount of $311,704.53.
