Background:
At the March 28, 2023, BCC Meeting, staff presented HB 7049-Publication of Legal Notices. This bill allows for the publication of advertisements and public notices on a publicly accessible website in lieu of newspaper advertising. The Board moved to continue the investigation while continuing to advertise using print ads and wait for a year to see if changes were made to the requirements related to the advertisements. Staff is now bringing this item back to the Board, as requested, for further direction.
Requested Action:
Staff requests the Board direct staff to develop a scope and seek quotes for hosting and administering electronic public notices on the County website.
